MOT

A valid MOT test certificate becomes a legal requirement to drive on UK roads once a vehicle is three years old. This certificate must be renewed annually, and the annual test must be carried out by a garage authorised to do so by the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency.

The test checks:

• Lights
• Brakes
• Fuel system
• Exhaust system
• Mirrors
• Seatbelts
• Windscreen wipers

If your vehicle fails the MOT test, we can provide you with a no-obligation quote and an estimate of how long the repairs and retest are likely to take. Our MOT retesting is free of charge, provided the vehicle is retested within 10 days of the original test. This is the case whether we carry out the repair work or you choose to take the vehicle to another garage or repair it yourself.

At Bear and Bee Garage, we are approved to carry out both Class 4 and Class 7 MOT tests. Your test can be carried out up to one month before the expiry date.

How Much Is an MOT test?

• MOT Class 4: £50 inc VAT
• MOT Class 7: £55 inc VAT

Which MOT test do I need?

Most private vehicles will need a Class 4 MOT test. This is for vehicles including:

• Most cars
• Motorhomes
• Passenger carriers that hold up to 8 people
• Vans up to 3t
